Reduced price for quick sale while supplies last: This is the 2010 version of the City Biker. As of 2012, the City Biker mounting system has been updated to the Ortlieb QL-3 system.
The City Biker is a shoulder bag that doubles as a pannier with QL-2 hooks. The pannier comes with:
- shoulder strap and can be carried like a shoulder bag.
- Internal liners
- Internal zippered pocket for small items, computer adapters, etc.
- Snap hook for keys
- Pen holder
The Ortlieb QL2 system allows fast and easy single-handed mounting and removal of the City Biker. Simply lift the top handle to remove the bag from the rack.
The same goes for attaching it: the QL2 hooks on the top of the bag can be slid forward and backwards, so that the bag can be positioned anywhere on the rack without requiring any tools. It is suitable for racks with a tube diameter up to 16 mm (hook inserts for diameters of 8 and 11 mm are included). I’ve never experienced or seen an Ortlieb pannier fall off a rack while its properly installed. The QL2 system has the advantage that it works with the Ortlieb pannier lock cables.
The cordura fabric with which these panniers are constructed is incredibly durable and completely waterproof.
