The B17 Imperial S is the women’s specific model of the B17 Imperial, the main difference being that it is slightly shorter and wider. Its shaped just like the B17 Standard S, but with a cutout for extra comfort. Its ideal for long distance cycle touring, trekking, and atb use. It also makes a great commuter saddle. Being a leather saddle, it takes a few rides to break in, in the neighborhood of a hundred miles. You’ll find that it becomes more comfortable with each ride you make on it.
It is a laced saddle to keep it from “hammocking” as it breaks in, and it comes with several colors of laces to choose from.
To protect the leather, we recommend treating the saddle with Proofide, Brooks’ own saddle oil. You can find this on our website under accessories. This will keep it protected if it gets a little wet and aid in the break-in process. The B17 Imperial features steel rails, is machine riveted, and comes with a tensioning wrench.
