About The Randonnee Shop

Founders Pete and Pat decided to start The Randonnee Shop while enjoying some low-grade boxed wine during a bike tour of The Copper Triangle (Vail/Leadville/Copper Mountain, Colorado). We'd both recently acquired our bicycle touring gear, and agreed that we had paid too much for the level of service we received! We knew there had to be a better way.

We decided to open a bike shop based on essential bomb-proof touring equipment, The Randonnee Shop (Randonnee is the French word for expedition). Our goal is to provide the best customer service (Check out some of our feedback here and here) on high quality bicycle touring gear, with free shipping on all purchases!

We know that you've done your homework and have your eyes set on the best bicycle touring gear in the world. We are passionate about high-quality cycling products, which is why we offer a no-hassle satisfaction guarantee.

Support your LBS!

There are thousands of touring enthusiasts spread out across the world, but bicycle touring is a niche sport. Selling over the Internet, we are able to reach out to a wide audience. As such, we are uniquely positioned to stock a wide variety of bicycle touring gear that may not be found in a local bike shop. However, we are strong advocates of cycling communities formed by the experience and knowledge found only in local bike shops. Please support your LBS if you can find our products there.

A man on foot, on horseback or on a bicycle will see more, feel more, enjoy more in one mile than the motorized tourists can in a hundred miles.
